While you work, this site keeps a note of which pages you opened, how long you were actually on them (if nothing is scrolled, typed or moved for 3 minutes, a card asks whether you're still studying — those minutes count only if you tap Yes; a timed exam paper counts for the whole sitting), how long you spent with the AI tutor (the minutes only), roughly how long you spent on videos you opened from a page (from leaving it until you come back, at most 20 minutes a video) and how the practice questions went — so the plan can adjust to you, and so Appa can see how the week is going without having to ask. Your tutor marks each block done from the work itself: what the page recorded (words drilled, questions answered, a paper submitted) or, where a page keeps no record, the minutes you spent on it; a printed sheet is on your word, and Appa sees that it was. If you ask your tutor to do something else instead, Appa sees what it was changed from. Work you do on paper or in books isn't visible to it. What you type to the AI tutor is not included — those conversations stay yours. The one exception: if you write something that sounds like you might hurt yourself, a note goes on your parents' Progress page asking them to check in with you, never your words.
